Sable & Hartwell handles thousands of commercial contracts each year. Junior associates spent weeks on first-pass reviews. We built a secure document intelligence workspace that extracts clauses, flags risk against the firm's playbook and drafts redlines for human approval.
The challenge
Confidentiality made public AI tools off-limits, yet manual reviews were slow and inconsistent across associates. The firm needed explainable results, full audit trails and strict data residency.
Our approach
We deployed the workspace inside the firm's private cloud, with models accessed over private networking and no data retention. Every flagged clause links back to its source text and the playbook rule it violated. Lawyers accept, edit or reject each suggestion, and the system learns from those decisions to improve precision over time.
